A final two-minute check can save the opening of your film. Confirm the source, guests and room settings, then give everyone one clear start.
1. Check the video
Confirm the title, version and running time. If it is an upload, make sure processing is complete and sound works. For several videos, inspect the queue order. Do not assume yesterday's selected item is still the right one.
Play the beginning, a later scene and the ending of the selected ready video. Return to the opening and leave it paused.

2. Check the invitation and access
Use the current Zopley room link or code and make sure the intended guests can enter. Review participant capacity and entry settings if someone is blocked. Keep the invitation easy to find in your group conversation.
Ask one guest to test the current invitation. Review capacity and entry mode if they cannot join the intended room.
If the source itself fails outside the room, try the checks in YouTube's playback troubleshooting guide. For a Zopley room problem, record the device, source and exact symptom before contacting support.
3. Check the viewing agreement
Tell guests who will manage playback and how to request a break. Confirm whether chat is welcome during the film and where the spoiler boundary sits. Make any planned intermission and finish time clear.
Name the host, spoiler boundary and pause request in the welcome. Include any intermission and the planned finish time.
If video or sound does not begin after joining, MDN's guide to autoplay blocking explains why browsers may require a click or tap before audible playback. Try the player's play control, then check volume and audio output.
4. Check that everybody is ready
Ask for a quick sound-and-picture confirmation. On a phone, a guest may need to tap the player before audio starts. Once the group is settled, start playback and let the film have the room's attention.
Ask every expected guest to confirm picture and sound. Wait for replies, then have the designated host start playback once.
