A clear room name helps people know they have joined the right session. It also makes your own dashboard easier to navigate when you host different kinds of screenings.
1. Use the occasion
Name the room after the film night, club or group rather than an inside joke nobody recognizes. A series session can include the season or episode in the name. Keep the wording short enough to identify at a glance.
Use an occasion and date, such as Friday short films, 9 October. Avoid a generic label if several rooms are active.
For a structured way to prepare a screening, use the Into Film club planning guide and adapt the activities to your own group.

2. Check the selected video too
A correct room name does not guarantee the source is right. Before inviting guests, review the video and its readiness. If you reuse a room, remove confusion left over from the previous session's title or program.
Check the attached video's opening and filename after naming the room. A clear title cannot compensate for a wrong source.
The W3C accessible media guide explains captions, transcripts and audio description. Ask which options your guests need, then test them before the session.
3. Repeat the name in the invitation
Include the room name beside the Zopley link or code. Add the start time and what you will watch. This gives someone arriving late an easy way to compare the invitation with the room they enter.
Repeat the same room name directly above the invitation link. Ask one guest to confirm the name after entering.
Check the actual date and cities in timeanddate's Meeting Planner before sending the invitation. Seasonal clock changes can alter the time difference.
4. Rename deliberately
If the session changes, update the name from the room settings and tell the group. Do not silently turn a film-club room into a different event. The room name should keep the plan clear throughout the evening.
If the plan changes, tell guests the new name and confirm the current invitation. Mark older messages as replaced rather than leaving two competing plans.
