When you host more than one session, an old link can send friends to the wrong place. Check the room and invitation together before sharing the next movie-night plan.

1. Review the current room

Open the dashboard and confirm the room name, video and access settings. If the source belongs to an earlier event, change it before inviting people. Test the intended video so the session is ready.

Open the intended room and compare its name, video and planned guest capacity. Test the selected video's first frame.

Compare your connection with YouTube's sustained-speed recommendations. These are a reference for YouTube playback, not a measured requirement or performance guarantee for Zopley.

2. Copy the current invitation

Use the room's invitation menu rather than an old message in your group history. Include the link or code with the new film title and date. A familiar-looking address is not enough to identify the correct session.

Copy the invitation from that room now. Avoid reusing a link from a previous session just because its message is easy to find.

If the source itself fails outside the room, try the checks in YouTube's playback troubleshooting guide. For a Zopley room problem, record the device, source and exact symptom before contacting support.

3. Test entry once

Ask one guest to join before the full group arrives. If access fails, check the entry mode and participant capacity. Fix the setup before distributing several alternative invitations.

Ask one guest to enter and confirm the visible room name plus video. Resolve entry errors before announcing the room to everybody.

If video or sound does not begin after joining, MDN's guide to autoplay blocking explains why browsers may require a click or tap before audible playback. Try the player's play control, then check volume and audio output.

4. Replace old information clearly

If you move the event to another room, say that the new invitation replaces the previous one. Keep the corrected message easy to find. Guests should not have to infer which link is current from the order of a busy conversation.

Mark an outdated invitation as replaced and post the current link once. Tell guests which room to leave if they followed the old message.
