Zopley gives your group a place to watch together with shared playback and conversation. Choosing the film and making sure the viewing source works remain part of preparing the evening.
1. Start with the shared experience
The room brings people, playback and chat into one session. It is useful when you want everyone to follow the same moment and react together. The movie-night theme does not itself mean a commercial film is included.
Separate the room's shared timeline and chat from the actual video source. Write down which source you will use for this session.
Compare your connection with YouTube's sustained-speed recommendations. These are a reference for YouTube playback, not a measured requirement or performance guarantee for Zopley.

2. Identify your source
Decide whether the evening uses a video in your Zopley library or a supported external viewing workflow. Test the exact source you plan to use. Do not substitute a trailer link when the invitation promises the whole film.
Open that source and test the full viewing workflow with one guest. A trailer or a landing page is not a substitute for the promised film.
If the source itself fails outside the room, try the checks in YouTube's playback troubleshooting guide. For a Zopley room problem, record the device, source and exact symptom before contacting support.
3. Check what guests need
An invitation to a room does not supply access to a separate streaming service. Confirm any required accounts or viewing access beforehand. Avoid promising that a film is available to everyone based only on your own screen.
Ask whether guests need their own viewing accounts or a particular device. Resolve that before confirming the film instead of at the start time.
If video or sound does not begin after joining, MDN's guide to autoplay blocking explains why browsers may require a click or tap before audible playback. Try the player's play control, then check volume and audio output.
4. Plan around your account limits
Review participant capacity, viewing allowance and active storage on the pricing page. A longer screening with more people can require more margin than a short test. Make the plan fit the actual room you can host.
Count guests and total viewing time, then compare with current account limits. Check active storage too if the plan includes a new upload.
