A weekly series night works when everyone knows the same stopping point. Make the episode plan clear and keep later material out of the conversation until the group catches up.
1. Write down the episode
Include the season and episode number in every invitation. Do not rely on phrases such as 'the new one' if people follow different schedules. Confirm the source and access before the Zopley session.
Put season, episode number and date in the invitation. Update that record after every session so the next host does not rely on memory.
For a structured way to prepare a screening, use the Into Film club planning guide and adapt the activities to your own group.

2. Set a simple spoiler boundary
Agree to discuss only episodes the group has finished. Trailers, previews and reviews can also reveal later information. If someone watches ahead, ask them to save those thoughts for a separate conversation.
Use the last completed shared episode as the boundary for chat and recap. Guests ahead of the group should keep later details out.
The W3C accessible media guide explains captions, transcripts and audio description. Ask which options your guests need, then test them before the session.
3. Use the credits as a checkpoint
After the episode, ask whether people want to talk now or meet again later. Resist playing another installment without checking the group's plans. The weekly rhythm depends on a stopping point everyone can keep.
At the credits, ask whether everyone completed the episode and confirm the next date. Avoid letting autoplay decide the next shared viewing.
Check the actual date and cities in timeanddate's Meeting Planner before sending the invitation. Seasonal clock changes can alter the time difference.
4. Give missed sessions a route back
Tell an absent friend which episode to catch up on before the next meeting. Offer a brief recap only if they want one. Keep the next room invitation separate from any spoiler-filled discussion of the previous screening.
Tell an absent guest exactly which episode to watch before returning. Offer a recap only after asking where they stopped.
